SONAR X2 Pasted Clip/Crossfade Issue?

Hi,

Apologies if this has been discussed already - I couldn't find anything on it.   I just installed X2 and am running into the following issue:

- If I pull up an existing clip, I can split it and move the halves around, causing SONAR to crossfade when they overlap (as expected.)  Each half can be moved and the size of the crossfade adjusts accordingly.
- However if I copy and paste new audio into the same track, then split that new clip and move the halves so that they overlap, I get a different behavior.
- Overlapping one clip on top of another now selects both of them.  If I try to move, say, just the half on the right, the crossfade and a piece of the left clip comes with it.

I'm unsure why this is happening - maybe it's a new mode in X2 that I'm unfamiliar with?  If anyone has any insight or could tell me how to disable this, I'd sure appreciate it.
Thanks!

Put them in different track layers

Thanks for the reply - I'm trying to work without lanes, but turning them on doesn't seem to help the issue.  As best I can tell, this only happens with copied audio; stuff that's cut and pasted works like I would expect.
