SONAR X3d vertical zoom in PRV
hello, In PRV when I select drum view, horizontal zoom works well (left mouse key) in this view but not the vertical zoom (right mouse key), it is the view of the piano changing but not drum view . Any idea?

Hang on a second. According to CW this isn't a bug. I'll come back later for more details.

I've created full steps to reproduce this and a couple of other inconsistent behaviors (zoom-related) between TV's Clips pane, PRV's Notes pane and Drum Grid pane. 1. Load the Normal project template. 2. Insert two MIDI tracks. 3. From the Output drop-down of the first MIDI track, select New Drum Map > Pass Thru Map (or whatever you like). 4. Record some notes in both tracks (you don't need to load any instrument because you don't need to hear anything) or drag some MIDI clip from the Browser into both tracks. 5. In the Track view's [Options] menu, click "Mouse Wheel Zoom Options" to show the options and un-check "Simultaneous Horizontal and Vertical Zoom." 6. Select the two tracks (or just hit Ctrl+A to select all tracks if you only have the two tracks in the Track view), then hit Alt+3 to open the Piano Roll view. 7. If you're using a single monitor (like me), don't maximize the PRV (or MultiDock) so that you can still see the TV (hit Shift+D if already maximized). 8. Adjust the pane separator in the PRV so that you can see both the Notes pane and the Drum Grid pane. 9. Hit Ctrl+F (Fit MIDI Content) in the PRV so that you can fully view the note events in both panes. 10. If you have followed the above steps correctly, your TV and PRV should look similar to this: 11. Now perform the following three zoom actions in all three panes (TV Clips pane, PRV Notes pane, and PRV Drum Grid pane): a) ALT+mouse wheel (vertical zoom in/out) b) CTRL+ALT+mouse wheel (horizontal zoom in/out) c) Right-click and drag up/down on the time ruler (vertical zoom in/out) Results? None of these works in the PRV Drum Grid pane (you see different behaviors). I reported these to CW last October (CWBRN-20756) and here's Ryan's reply: "As far as current implementation goes, the right-click on the time ruler to vertically zoom as well as the keyboard shortcuts with mouse wheel are not intended to vertically scroll the drum grid pane. I have logged your report as a good design suggestion though since I can see how it is inconsistent." Reported on Oct 20, 2013 Confirmed and submitted to development on Nov 19, 2013

The ones in the palentheses are the expected results and actual result. Jlien X a) ALT+mouse wheel (vertical zoom in/out) b) CTRL+ALT+mouse wheel (horizontal zoom in/out) c) Right-click and drag up/down on the time ruler (vertical zoom in/out) Results? None of these works in the PRV Drum Grid pane (you see different behaviors).

The feature requested in post #1 now works in X3e. Thank you bakers! (but you forgot to correct the inconsistent mousewheel zoom behaviors between the Drum Grid pane and the Notes pane...)

CWBRN-20756 is confirmed as fixed as you say so it will be closed. If there are further outstanding issues related to this I suggest logging new separate issues. Thanks....
