SONiVOX Fender Precision Bass

Has anybody tried the SONiVOX Fender Precision Bass? Is it better than the bass in Studio Instruments?

There is a free trial version of the SONiVOX stuff. I don't think there is a demos of Studio Instruments however. SI is good, particularly the bass, and dispite having other stuff these days I still find occasional use for everything but the drums.

If you want a virtual precision bass, more expensive, but excellent is, NI's Scarbee Pre Bass. Unlike the others you get harmonics, mutes, hammer ons, pull offs and real slides (not just a bit of portmento) http://www.native-instruments.com/#/en/products/producer/powered-by-kontakt/scarbee-pre-bass/overview/

I tried the free trial of the SONiVOX Fender Precision Bass and wasn't impressed. It was alot like the Studio Instruments Bass,it just sounded more like a P-Bass.I think I'll just make due with the Studio Instruments bass until I can spare $90 for NI's Scarbee pre-bass.

    A wise choice, I think.

In the mean time you can certainly widen the scope of the Studio Instruments bass (and the E Piano for that matter) by sticking it through an amp sim. If you don't have one check out the free ACME Bargig stuff.
