SPP: MIDI locate on outside sequencer

Is is possible to send the SPP from SONAR simply when you move the location?  Either by entering the location or sliding the bar?  What about a Sysex file?  Seems like a bunch of extra effort,  but suppose a hot key could be set up for this.
