SSL Duality Student

I'm a newbie/student at using the SSL Duality yes I admit it.
With all of its functions it makes it complicated to understand especially since its an super analogue console.
I mean I know I could flip into a DAW Controller, but who wants to do that I feel like you would lose some of the feel the analogue gives you.
Is there a ways tricks on understanding the Duality analogue side without reading the manual because I am a hands on person so reading the manual is kinda like Ahhh, but if anyone as any tips or tricks or advice on understanding the SSL Duality let me know.

Thank You

You're a student using a quarter of a million dollar mixer and don't want to read the manual?  Ship it to me and I'll figure it all out and explain it in laymen's terms.

Perhaps there is a DVD of "The SSL Duality for Dummies" available?
