Sorry. I don't understand the question.
What program are you talkin about??? Did you mean to write SI-drums (Studio Instruments)? I don't know a program called "ST drums", and if it's a VST I don't know any VSTis that record audio in the way you describe. Or are you talking about recording real drums?

just simply press insert/soft synth/si drums..let the plug in put the track out for you..its a midi track not a audio track..youll need to bounce it down after..i could be wrong..actually kalle knows better than me..kalle??

Well...it seems to me there's more than one thing unclear to the OP.

Blueswaite, I still don't quite understand what you're trying to do, or how you expect SI-drums to work.

Insert SI as a soft synth like Charlie said, then you record MIDI. You can not record audio with SI-drums. Then this MIDI is bounced to audio.

I have not used SI-drums, but I guess it allows you to drag MIDI-beats to the MIDI-track
so that you can also edit them to your liking.

Have you read the help files about using soft synths?

I right click on Si Drums click run as adminastrator  Comes up I guess as a standalone.  You can play the drums.
On top right is a tab says record wave file. when your done recording your wave file where is the wave  located. So I am thinking you can record your own beat and it is saved as a wave file to use in other progams or in my case import it on to my Juno Gi recorder to a track.
    Thanks

Nonono...Sorry to say but you got it all wrong. Do read the help files about soft synths. I don't have the energy to start copy-pasting them for you.

I've never used SI-drums but I've always thought it's only a VST without standalone possibility. Someone wiser may correct if I'm wrong. Maybe it's ME who's got it wrong. I'm out of here...

OK. I learned from another thread that if you buy the full set of Studio Instruments separately, you get the standalonen versions too. Included with home studio is only VSTs.
