STUPID Smart tool!!!!

Guys, please, PLEASE tell me there's a way to customize the "Smart" tool functionality!
It's SO frustrating to use these days. In SONAR X3 I could just leave the smart tool on during editing and could drag clips and do whatever I needed. But this current CbBL Smart tool is giving me the following issues and it's wasting time in my workflow because I don't know the shortcuts and it doesn't function as expected:

- Dragging the edges of clips that are directly next to other clips causes the common edge to be dragged TOGETHER, rather than just the edge of one clip or the other. I typically want to move just one edge, or move one out of the way to get to another. Only when there's a common edge though. I'm tired of having to reselect and delete the new, dragged-out portion of the clip that I didn't even mean to touch in the first place.
- Dragging a clip that's comp'd on top of another clip will.... SLICE THE END OFF OF THE LOWER CLIP AND DRAG IT ALONG?? That is RIDICULOUS! If I'm moving one clip, I only want to move ONE clip!! If I want to moves takes then I'll open comping!!

There are surely a myriwad of other issues I'm having with this version of the tool that I haven't had previously.
REALLY hoping there's some good, permanent fixes here!!

I assume this is only an issue when comping, and the Take Lanes are open...right? If so, use the Edit tool. When comping, the Smart tool is smart enough to know that you're comping and changes its functionality accordingly. If you want to start editing your comp, you're better off with the Edit tool.
