SUNset TZUnami - "the blackest gift"

Some friends of mine put a doom-droney-metal band together, and I helped them record their debut album (uncredited, though) and set up their website/blog.

They're hoping to get some gigs in Massachusetts.

I don't know what the song's about, but it is well produced if you're not lyric oriented.  Good luck with your band, and let us hear more from you in the future.

    All the best,

Thanks for the feedback - not actually my band, but I did help them work on songs and assisted in recording, mixing, etc.

They're really not "lyrically-oriented", like most extreme metal bands, it's about the overall "sound" and atmosphere.  I've been told the production might even be a bit too clean for this kind of music.

But thanks again - any feedback is always appreciated.

I recently revealed that SUNset TZUnami was in fact all me.  A Dimaension X side-project where I played and recorded everything, including the vox.

I probably won't do vox again, since I don't think they came out that great. but they do fit the genre (funeral-doom-drone-metal?), so maybe they're not so bad.

    There you go.

Well, I tried to listen but just couldn't connect with all the noise. Guess funeral-doom-drone-metal isn't my genre, I'm more into the eternal life kind of thing, so it would be hard for me to give you any tips on this genre. It does seem to fit what they are doing though, but the vocals should be up front instead of the back of the over all sound.
