SWA Complete Table of Contents or Index?

I was just watching SWA Complete Sonar X2 and noticing that only one player shows any kind of table of contents (I think it might have been QuickTime).

I notice that the TOC is very general and doesn't break the video down into all that many subjects. For example, I wanted to learn about the PRV and there is nothing in the TOC that mentions it, and hence I can't find it.

Is there a more granular TOC or index that I can access, or if the author sees this, can he make a printed version?

Hi there. Thanks for buying the video, I hope you find it useful.

VLC is another player that will display the chapters. There is a more detailed PDF breakdown as well. Just use the link in my signature.

    One more question, Karl...

Is there a way to split the long video up into smaller chapters? I'd like to be able to more easily scroll back to review things I might miss or need a repeat of.

I have it in one huge file which makes it very unweildy for backstepping 30 seconds or so. If it were in more bite-sized chunks it would be much easier to click back with the mouse. Trying to click back 1 pixel with the mouse is pretty much impossibe with such a large single file.

    Thanks again!

    Hi. Thanks for the thanks....

One way of splitting it is to use Format Factory. It will however take some time as it uses conversion rather than just a simple one click split but it is free.

I'm not even sure if there is a program that can do a simple split and result in a playable file, perhaps someone else will know.

Anyway using Format Factory you select the file type you want it in then you'll need to load in the original video as many times as you want splits. You can then use the option button to specify start and end times for each chunk, you can obviously just enter those as times from the PDF rather than hunt through the video for them.

Once you have those set up run the conversion which on a nine hour video is probably going to take quite some time. Alternatively you can just do one chunk at a time as you need it hence reducing the wait time for the conversion.

Just a FYI I did see on the SWA product page that Chris (SWA boss) said they were looking at re-releasing it already split which will be a free download for existing owners. I'm not sure when that will happen though.

Hope that help and thanks again.
