SX1a - SD3 Building a kit

SX1a - SD3 Building a kit

Any tutorials on building a Drum Kit using WAV samples and Session Drummer3?
(I don't think SD3 uses REX2 files, cause I loaded one and Sonar blinked out of existence!)

I'm looking to make a double bass kit for metal music.

I figured it was my own fault because when I went back and checked the dropdown list( of what files are available to import) , REX2 was not listed.
    I'll report it anyway.

sad. the kits comprise of 2 things really.. the samples + a sfz file to map them.. then you have to save out the "prog"..

if you open up one of the SFZ kits it'll show you a good example of how things are mapped..

you have 3 layers per hit really.. to do with the velocity..of course you can add more

converting the files back from rx2 won't be too tricky obv. if you have recycle.. or you if you have say kontakt you can import them into that and it'll convert back to wav

are they loops or hits ?

but I would say look at an sfz of another kit and you'll see it's not too tricky. there is a list of sfz commands also on here.
