Sacrifice
Warning! Profanity I started this a week before Halloween with the intention of posting it for the holiday. It took me longer than I thought. It is a requiem for humanity because on the whole, humans are pretty stupid and since they want to be, what hope do we have. I tried to come up with "I love you" songs but for the most part, I hate humans which is ironic since I love humanity. The idea of sacrifice is humanity is sacrificing itself for profit. We won't be able to survive on this planet if we don't start giving a dam soon. So listen if you dare. Sacrifice

Sounds a bit like something that might have come from the Rocky Horror soundtrack. ;) Entertaining, and I like the driving guitar groove. Your "clean" vocals sound a little out of place next to the distorted guitars, but perhaps this is intentional? I'm assuming the vocal pitch issues are also intentional, going for a "spooky" sound?

I wish I could say the pitch issues are intention but I just can't sing that well. Although, it does add to the spookiness which is intentional. Not many songs start out with a diminished chord but I was going lochrian. The vocals during the guitar section were totally intended that way.
I guess I was trying to paint a picture of the movie "Saw" but instead of Tobin Bell's character as the protagonist it's god letting humans destroy themselves. Maybe not the best analogy but there it is.

I listened to this last night and enjoyed it, although it's quite different from what I expected. Frank Zappa comes to mind because of its quirkiness. It's not how I expected God's voice to sound, but his voice is in all of us, I hear. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on humanity.

Thanks for checking it out Lynn. Frank Zappa huh. I must be one of the very few that has never really ever listened to Zappa. The first time I heard one was some nice leads then the music slowed and he was on his way to Montana. I guess I should check him out but thank you for the comparison. I know a lot of people regard him very well which makes me wonder why I never checked him out.
