So, all that life work and he gets memorialized by a "piss manikin?"  (One possible translation, "pissing statue" would be another.)  Wonderful.

No idea.  Here's the first line of the description: "Today and tomorrow, Manneken-pis will pay tribute to toots thielemans."

I'll stick to Belgian's waffles and let Brussels keep their sprouts too!

A true talent and game changer. Most don't know he was a masterful guitarist and whistler as well.

I wish I had some anecdotes to share, my guitar teacher was a good friend.  It was several lobotomies ago.  He was extremely talented. 94 years old is a good life!

Toots Thielemans passed away today:

Always loved his playing ... and the fact that he mixed it with just about anything except punk music, of course! He was a gentleman!

Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!

This is so sad, but 94 years is a wonderfully long life.

Does anyone happen to know when he last played and/or recorded? I didn't get the impression that he ever really retired.

“Beer is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy” is attributed to Benjamin Franklin perhaps in error, but the thought remains a worthy sentiment nonetheless.

I just checked his site: Toots retired when he was 91 years of age due to physical weakness.

Whoa.
