The link is broken. Takes me to the sc homepage.

Well, cool song, but the mix is a tad rough.

The first thing I would look at is the EQ. It sounds like you have pushed all the wrong areas (sorry, I am not trying to be harsh).

A couple of key concepts about EQ as they relate to Sonar:

    1. EQ should not be used to boost bass (boost it a very small amounts if you feel it absolutely necessary). It is used to cut bass, cut mids and boost highs. Use compression and levels.

    2. EQ in a digital environment is hazardous. It can really introduce or at least make more apparent, digital noise.

Right now, the levels are all over the place. You have some mid tones that come blaring out, while the vox sounds muffled and boosted in the mids, the bass is over the top.

One thing that I have been doing lately when I have been mixing the same song a long time, is to take a break, and go listen to other music. Not for comparisons, but to clear my brain out.

Then when I go back to the song I can hear the mistakes a whole lot better. We become deaf and blind to little errors that can compound into big ones and this helps eliminate that.

    Cheers
    Shad

Liked the song a lot, especially the upbeat chorus part and that shakey sounding synth is a nice touch. The arrangement is fantastic. You've got a great voice too.

This is a great song, but the mix is not letting it reach it's full potential.  I would take notice of Shad's suggestions as he knows what he's talking about.

I'd really like to hear this with a better mix so i hope you can sort that out.

Thanks guys - Yeah - I knew the mix was rough - really just threw the faders up to see if it had any potential at all..

thanks for the comments - I have a few more things to track and then get down to some mixing

    appreciate the feedback as always...
