Sample CDs & DVDs

I'm sure many of you have seen the guys on ebay selling sample cds and dvds loaded with all the sounds from the likes of tritons, fantoms, motifs etc...
Has anyone on the forum ever bought these?
Who has expereince using them?
Can you control them in sonar 8 with your controller just as straightforward as if you had the workstations themselves?
They also do all the akai drum machines.

I'm thinking of getting some with triton sounds on, because I'll have the 'big three' so to speak then.

Any advice appreciated

As samples, you would not be able to alter their sound, unless the sampler or sample player you're using provides that ability.

Are they legit or are they illegal ripped garbage?

I'd be a bit wary of individuals selling stuff like that...but that's just me.
