Sample + Flip - Energetic Ricks Ross / Jay-Z / Wale Type Beat (Horn Sample)

Original Sample: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efpiS1qgGu0 (Samples come from 0:00-0:15 and 0:47-0:50) Flipped into this: http://www.soundclick.com...11294226&q=hi&newref=1 Came out like an energetic Just Blaze type beat with the horns; tried to make a bridge for the beat but couldn't come out with anything that fit into the structure well so it's just a basic ABABAB format but perhaps could work for a nice mixtape track -- let me know what you guys think!

If those are supposed to be trumpets, then they sound bad. It almost sounds like the track is clipping.

    Nice ideas.

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

yeah, the sample is from the 60s or something and its ripped from vinyl so it's running a little hot; i assume those are trumpets -- i didn't have any input in the creation or recording of the trumpets so don't blame me for the quality

I would think about distressing it a bit, going a bit more lo-fi

Interesting tune. Not really my style, but there is a lot of nice sampling stuff happening in this.
