Sample Rate Pro 40 and X3

Im using Focusrite Pro 40 with X3. The sample rate on the Mix Control for Focusrite stays on 48Khz  when I have X3 set for 44khz in preferences. The Focusrite Pro40 keeps defaulting to 48.
My tracks play real slow.
I couldn't get the picture to sync...

Any ideas?
Thanks

One possibility is that the Windows sound settings for the playback/record devices are set to 48khz, and that is what is making the Pro 40 default to that rate. Look in Control Panel/Hardware and Sound/Manage Audio Devices/Playback, select the Default Device, which will enable you to select Properties, then select the Advanced tab. This will show you what Windows thinks the sample rate is supposed to be. Maybe you need to edit that.

Note: your OS may use different words/dialogs/tabs/etc. than what I indicated, but hopefully you can find the corresponding items on your computer.

have simular prob with an Akai interface and couldn't fix it with any settings on Sonar/interface or Windows.
sometimes when having Sonar open, no or very slow playback in Media Player or Internet.
Then I'll have to close Sonar, and re-open the other program and sometimes restart the Akai.
But I got used to that now, no prob.

    Hello Rich,

Just so I understand... Are you trying to change the Pro 40 to 44? If so the Pro 40 needs to be set before you start up Sonar.  Or are you saying that it is set then changing??

Long shot, but do you have anything hooked up to the optical inputs? If so, it could be receiving clock from there...
