Sample replacers?

I read a while back that certain plug ins - (it mentioned Drumagog) can replace any percussive sound recorded with another sample we choose. So for for example make our own drum sample by recording foot stomps or hand claps on the lap - imitating kick and snare. Wondering which plug in / synth within X1 could we do this with?? Thanks!

Use audiosnap to extract the MIDI info then use Session Drummer 3 or the drum synth of your choice There is a video here http://www.cakewalk.com/C..V/SONARU.aspx/Go-Deeper

The link is to a page with several videos on it. One happens to be loaded when the page opens. The audiosnap video "AudioSnap 2.0 Drum Replacement" is the one to view.

While I saw that webinar live and understand the approach I personally say "if you can afford drumagog, you'll enjoy the drum replacement experience more fully, IMHO".
