SampleTron?

Anyone?
I can't seem to find SampleTron on the IK sales site. Is it gone or is there a new version of SampleTron someplace around?

Thanks!

It was one of the old 32 bit Sampletank based programs. I am not sure if it was updated for ST3 or if its still available, if you can get a copy you would probably be best using the sounds in ST3 for stability on modern systems.

A good alternative is M-Tron Pro from GForce https://www.gforcesoftware.com/products/m-tron-pro

The initial program is very good with a huge range of sounds, and then there are expansion packs. The Streetly tapes are very good indeed.

We no longer sell SampleTron but there are some good Tron-based libraries for SampleTank still available at Sonic Reality (who were directly involved in SampleTank:

I still have mine and it has always been very good, but as IK say, no longer sold.
I use mainly now MTron Pro from GForce - there are also lots of great expansion packs

Another great mellotron ap is Wusik Eve. As with Sampletron, allows the range beyond the 32 note limit above and below and extensive mix and match, editing capability. Mellotrons and a lot more. Always some fire sale going on, so the $79 never applies. Demo craps out after 30 minutes, but will give you the idea.

For pure mellotrons, there are several freebies that can do the job well. Also free downloads of wav samples that can be tossed into a sampler. Internet search needed. Death of Sampletron is not death of the mellotron, and another thumbs up for MTron Pro.

I got M-Tron Pro not long ago & it is really, really good. I have still not plumbed the depths of its potential. I'm still learning it (I just posted another thread looking for tips on King Crimson sounds) but I have already found tons of inspiration in the sounds & flexibility of it. So, another +1 for M-Tron. :-)
