Sampletank 3 SE and sonar X3e

When i run sampletank 3 SE, as a standalone all is good

when i start sonar and load sampletank 3 SE, and select an instrument " piano " or any other
and i play the midikeyboard ( M-Audio keyrig 49 )

The notes hang, like i step on the sustain pedal.... , but i do not.

all played notes is "activated" red in the piano board, and i cant play them anymore.
I can click em, in the GUI to get the red off away, and when i try the same chord, only 1 note will hang and sound.

When i try to play a lot of other notes, a many will sound and hang "red" !
then if i use the mouse and take away activated notes in the GUI.

After that no sound or notes at all.....

Any solution, cause this is in sonar only , not as standalone ?

use the vst2 version mate, its a known issue in the vst3 plugin for regular sampletank so I assume SE has the same problem.

Yepp it worked to install as a VST2

Now how come the VST3 wont work properly ( bad programming / conflicts ) ?
i think there's also was issues with some slate digital plugins that i have tried as VST3

Anyway thanks a lot.

No probs, I dunno what the issue is but it seems to be vst3+sonar related, people report it working fine with vst3 in cubase but I wouldn't know :)

I've had a ticket outstanding with IK about this for some time - well ever since ST3 it was released. Despite two reminders they have not responded to me. Crap customer service.
Also, it transpired on their forum that they didn't beta test using Sonar...

My stuff

Intel Sandy Bridge i7 2600 @ 3.4GHz, 4 cores, 8 threads, 16GB RAM.

I stopped purchasing IK products because sampletank is my worst performing VST. It has some great sounds, so it's worth it for some small parts, but I quickly freeze the track after I record it (which does limit creativity since you can't automate the synth if it's frozen). It causes more crashes and I've seen little in updates or acknowledgment of these multi-year outstanding issues from IK.
