Samplitude Pro X4 Released!

    The upgrade costs me more than the Samplitude 3 package.
     
    Magix is not generous on upgrade pricing.

    Yeah, the upgrade would cost me $149, which is exactly what I paid last December for the X3 Suite. I'll stick with X3 before I'll pay that...

    Yes...this upgrade, IMO, is an EPIC FAILURE.

    Pretty sad....for them especially.

    I love Samplitude, but their virtual instruments isn't very good

    Agreed...I may have been tempted if they would have thrown in SF 12. It's pretty ridiculous that they included SF11 when 12 has been out for a couple months already.

    A few years back ( 3 or 4 ) Magix did not have these type of prices
    I know because at the time I was using Samplitude Music Studio . IIRC you couldn't touch anything above that tier of product for less than $500 ..or so it seemed too me ...
    When I finally made it up to Samplitude Pro X 2 Standard ( not Suite ) I thought I was getting a great deal for $199 at the time ...
    I'm not jumping for this current deal because I don't care at this point ...
    Magix when you decide to fix the Lost ASIO Buffers then I will care again

    I'm asking because I and a lot of others in the Samplitude forum haven't received any e-mail regarding the release of Pro X4 ...

    $200.00 to upgrade to Pro X4?! That's a little steep IMHO. Besides that with CbB who needs to even bother? Lol

    I've used Independence suite for a number of years. Some of the instruments samples are some of the best around in my opinion. Unfortunately they broke one feature when they went to 64 bit. Independence used to able to host other VSTi instruments internally- that was a very powerful for stacking their acoustic samples with outside electronic synths etc.

    Just found out on the magix site that X4 is online activation only.... Deal breaker for me.
