Sang this at INXS audition "Time To Wake Up"

Here is one of my latest songs. oTime To Wake Up
It is a solo production that I did on HS 2004. I am not really a master at any instrument so Feedback is welcome. I consider myself a Mugician. I create the illusion that I am a musician. If nothing else this should be inspiration to the guy or girl with cheap equipment. Look at my list...nothing high end here. Thanks to Cakewalk for allowing me to get my ideas recorded without spending a crap load of money.

Pearl Forum Series drums
Yamaha Pacifica Guitar
Washburn XB 100 Bass
Takamine Jasmine Acoustic
2 - SM57's
Yamaha keyboard (borrowed)

As I've said before, I think you've got a good voice and a talent for songwriting -- I enjoyed this.

There are some production issues, in particular compression: both mastering and track compression; but I'll leave that for the more knowledgeable to comment on.

    Seriously man though, good stuff!

Thank you............All production / final mix comments and suggestions are definitely welcome. Seems to be my weakness. I spend hours on final mix.....drives one insane. Still learning.

Hey Clubbedtodeath.............could you elaborate on the mastering and compression comments? I would really be interested in what you have to say/suggest. I really want to learn more about the process.
    Thank you!
