I grew up there but moved to L.A. in '74.  Does that count?

    I guess that was me.
I was in a few bands in that area from '79-'82.
The only other band I can recall right now from that era is The News.

I did a lot of work at Santa Barbara Sound (commercial recording studio) with my old friend Dan Prothero engineering.  I knew a lot of great players from SB: Randy Tico, bass, Jeff Elliot, trumpet, Steve LeGassick, keys.

Played ton's of casuals there in junior high and high school.  Played snare drum in the SB Symphony.  Taught drums for a living for a while.  Worked with Barry Devorzon in Montecito for a couple of years.  Was the drummer for The Calliope ('60's original band) and The Isla Vista Jam Band in the '70's.  That was when we lit trash cans on fire and jammed all night in People's Park.

    Hi,

I have connected with Tom Payne (Tom and David Payne), who sang in a few bands, and I got a hold of him, and have some music ... and my friends, it is GOOD!

You do know that in Santa Barbara that is a gay joke for the Biltmore, right?

No, I don't live in those worlds.  Where I come from it's usually a little glass filled with booze.
