The original lineup, plus bass maestro Benny Rietveld! Wonderful keys by the inimitable Gregg Rolie. Neal Schon on guitar. Michael Carabello, Karl Perazzo and Michael Shrieve on percussion. Killer bass lines by Benny. Oh. And Carlos!
This album has the sound of a just-barely-in-control psychedelic studio jam session. Raw and immediate. Takes me back to the Fillmore in '68 and Fried Neckbones and Chunk A Funk.
I'm currently playing the CD through my studio kit. Loving the mix so far! And it hasn't been 'mastered' into tonal oblivion.
