Infectious beat going on there. I like it. Very basic instrumentation, with vox...works well. Good job too on the video aspect.

Thanks Guitarhacker, Most of our songs are very simple and we try to build up from there. Also we just made the move from acappella to vocals with instruments. Thanks for the view! Blessings.

A wonderful track – great groove, terrific bass track, lovely mellow and heartwarming lead vocal. A super uplifting, positive sounding tune – I can't understand the lyrics but I am sure they reflect something joyous. Great job all aound.

Thanks everyone for the messages. The chorus of the song is: Mash a Mash a Satan Fall Down for ground Mash a Mash a I be you fall down for gutter Mash a Mash a You go down for ditcho Mash a Mash a We are basically mashing Satan down to the ground. He is going to fall down into the gutter and ditch. This song is sung in african creole. If you listen carefully you can hear the english words or if you happen to understand creole, you might just understand the song.

karalie, This is such an uplifting song andgreat message. I really appreciate the rythmic style of these type of African songs. The bass line is done very well. The lead vocal sounds great. Thanks for sharing.

The video is great but I must say that I am crazy for the song and performance. I have been listening to some African music (Baaba Maal, Oliver Mtukuzi, Mali Bassekou Kouyate & Ngoni Ba, Oumou Sangare, etc.) and I am gaining a real appreciation for it. This is a terrific piece!! Freddy J

Thanks for all the replies! Freddy J: you would love Manu Dibango wakafrika! The lyrics are very unconventional. Here is the lyrics from 2008, this version the lyrics are slightly changed. Satan Fall Down Chorus Satan fall down for ground Mash sha Mash sha I be you fall down for gutter Mash sha Mash sha You go fall down for ditch Mash sha Mash sha You go fall down for ground Mash sha Mash sha Stanza One Satan I hate your name O Satan you be trouble maker My Jesus go hit you know With the one blow go settle that tho Mine destruction now you the cause of Abortion now you the cause of Armed robbery now you the cause of I hate you I don’t like your name O Jesus done beat you 2000 years ago Stanza Two Satan I hate your name O Satan you be trouble maker My Jesus go hit you know With one blow go settle that tho Worry now you the cause of Satanist now you the cause of Every trial now you the cause of I hate you I don’t like your name O Jesus done beat you 2000 years ago Lasana Kanneh © 2008
