Saving CPU resources

Hey folks, I thought that I read somewhere about bouncing tracks down WITH their associated plugins to another track then muting the original to save CPU resources. I've tried with a number of tracks in a project and haven't really noticed a difference. Anything to this procedure? Thanks! Dave X1d, Intel i5 quad core, 4MB RAM, TASCAM US1800, etc, etc.....

Ciao, Dave

Muting does not save resources. Archiving does. You can also freeze the track or just freeze the synth if you want to continue to adjust the fx. Freezing saves resources too and is easier than bounce/archive.
