Saving changes with remote control knobs

Can anyone help me? I have used 'remote control' to control the master volume with my NanoKontrol, but when I save the setting under, Synth Rack and ACT midi controler and try calling those settings next time, I open the project, it does not work.

Please help!

It sounds like you need a MIDI command to reset to that default that is not happening....I think there is an option to send MIDI data to your synth in the menu somewhere but I can't touch this one without being hands on or in front of Sonar

I tried automation red/write and it did not work. What do you mean by 'zero'ing', I am not familiar with that.

    Thanks for replying

In Options - Project - Mdi Out - uncheck the Zero controllers when play stops box.  That should allow it to retain the last setting you used in the session for at least that session.   Don't know if  it will retain it for reopening the project though.

I can save any information only when, I use the 'midi learn' option and, I press the cell and knob. But when I use 'remote' it does actually turn the proper knob but, I cannot retrieve that single knob, next time that, I open the project

There is an option under MIDI (I think) that you can check(or not) to reset controllers/synths to there default settings when your project goes to 0 in time (or start of project)... if this is checked it will default the synth/controller settings to factory (I believe it's factory default or other default)

I tried selecting and deselecting the controllers option without success, like Jason had recommended

I have the same problem. It seems like such a basic function; remember my MIDI parameters bindings for my soft-synths.  The remote control binding set for the channel strips are saved; but not the soft-synth parameters.  This seems to be the case for all soft-synths.

bump.  Does anyone have any ideas on this?  Sonar Producer 8.  I can't make the remote control settings for soft synth parameters to be remembered after I re-load a project.
