Scanned Synth Pro - No-Brainer Deal - Pay What You Want!

Hi guys.

Just thought I'd point out that there is a really good VSTi synth out there that's going for a pretty insane price - Pay What You Want.

It originally sold for $99 USD!

Check it out here: http://www.humanoidsounds.co.uk/products.html

Scanned Synth Pro uses scanned synthesis instead of the standard VA, FM, Wavetable, Additice, etc, which means it has a very unique sound.

Two things SSP are NOT: A buggy piece of junk or a SynthEdit creation.  The default GUI might look a little amateurish to some, but there is an alternative skin included that is much more mainstream in appearance.

BTW, no, I'm not getting any kickbacks from the developer for mentioning this. I feel bad for John as it's a great product and I gather it just didn't work out for him for whatever reason.

I've made a YouTube video showcasing some of its sounds

NIce, I played around a little with an LE version I got with CM magazine once. It sounded cool but I never really understood it but a pay-what-you-like for the full version sure is tempting.

Sadly very reduced studio equipment as it is... ASUS G750J, 8 gb RAM, Win8, Roland Quad Capture.

As I said I've only played around a little with an LE version but I'd say if you want strange and original sounds this is the one, if you are after conventional ones and programming techniques look elsewhere. For the genres you mentioned I think Scanned can be a nice injection.

    Thanks!!
I may just get this. I have an XILS softsynth, but haven't dived into it too much (yet)....I noticed that when using XILS and when I press multiple keys, my Sonar CPU meter increases drastically (upto 75%)?? Not sure why? I've used multiple instances of many softsynths (5-6) and the CPU never climbed over 30-40%. hmmm...weird....

Mech, I would definitely recommend Scanned Synth for Drum & Bass.  IMHO, though, I don't think it's much of a techno synth yet lol.  I've been in contact with the developer and gave him a bunch of suggestions for a future update, which would definitely "techno" it up :).
