Scoring with Sibelius (tip)

Word to anyone scoring to picture with Sibelius...after Sibelius 5 the software comes with a hit point staff plug- in under composing tools.  After adding your hit points to the appropriate frames you then use the "plug-in" to create a hit point staff which puts silent notes on the exact beats your hit points fall on.  The best part, these beats stay in sync to the picture even when you fiddle with meters and tempo!

This tip if incase anyone else was like me and used beat sync calculators and real calculators to map out which beats your hit points fell on.  Yes I just discovered Sibelius had this option after using it for more than a year.  Oh my what time I have wasted!

My workflow is:
Write and orchestrate in Sibelius - Export midi
Open Sonar - import midi assign sounds, tweak midi
Add extra sounds and instruments if needed
Mix in Sonar-Export to Wave
Master in TRacks

I hope this helps another Sonar-ian out
