Screen Fonts in X1?

How come the fonts in this channel strip are easier to read

Than in this one?

I've been wondering why the text read out dialogs in SONAR X1, like where it says "Lead VOX" in the screen shot above look so blurry.

It makes me wonder if both apps are using Screen FONTs or if the app with the blurry font is using a font that is actually optimized for printing.

Does anyone know?

HINT: the forum doesn't display screen shots at full size... you'll want to right click and view image at full size if you want to see the difference.

best,
mike

It could be the fonts but I think the choice of colors has a lot to do with it.

could be pre-rendered in the gui images? (ie, no longer fonts, so not supporting smoothing, clear-type, etc)

that's what I was thinking.  didn't someone from cake say that most of it's gifs and jpegs now?  which is not scalable.

Yes, this is why I confined my question to the active text boxes where the app loads an actual font.

The screen images are "baked" in and yes they are raster. The SONAR GUI is not scalable so we see the exact 1:1 pixels exactly as the designer did.

I know why those letters are blurry.

I've been curious about the actual FONT that we see in the dialog and parameter boxes. The blue text. It seems to be unsuitable for use as a Screen Font.

    best regards,
