Screensets Are Causing Serious Delays

Hi all,
I have developed a problem with X3e Pro when switching screensets. It takes between 20 and 30 seconds to switch between views. I'm not sure but I think it has something to do with the Browser. When I press B it takes a long time to open as well. Has anyone else run into this?  Thanks for the help!

Make sure you disable your floppy disk in the BIOS.

Thanks John. I already tried to locate the floppy disk in my UEFI of my mobo and there isn't one as I don't think floppy drives are supported.

Possibly the same thing could happen with some optical drives, especially if a disk is left in one of them?

Thanks Brundlefly. I don't have any disks in the drives. I was never a fan of screensets when the were introduced (I liked the old Layout setup because the settings were global.) I've played around intermittently with them but it's tedious to set up screensets in every project. But I have some big mixes and changing views would be helpful. Now that I'm trying to integrate them into my workflow I get these hangs. Bummer!

I feel your pain. I too prefer layouts to screensets.

Interesting... the floppy disk controller in the BIOS got me early on, even though I've never had a physical drive on this machine.

So if you were to create a handful of screen sets in a test project that do not include the Browser, do they react any different?

I don't think Sonar caches screen sets very well hence slow performance. Caching screensets should also be an option in preferences IMHO.
