Scrolling through Pro Channel Modules

If you have a bunch of PC Modules, they can extend past the end of the screen.

The FX Bin module is pinned to the bottom of the list for some reason.

The only way to get to the FX Bin is to hover over the arrow at the foot of the list.

IMHO this could be improved in any number of ways.
- We could be able to re-order the list
- We could scroll the list with the mouse wheel
- We could pin the FX Bin to the top of the list instead. :-)

I know this is beyond minor, but I thought I'd post anyway. This is only pertinent for those of us with lists of PC Modules that extend below the bottom of our screens.

My Screen resolution is 1920x1080.

StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen.
I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

My bad misinterpreted the OP's question.

Though the solution is obviously needed.

I think he mean the right-click menu to insert pc modules.

I don't have many pc modules, so for me is not a problem (yet ).

Hey gswitz. You're not alone in being mildly annoyed by this. Between that and scrolling past all my hardware outputs (I have 60-ish) to get to my buses when inserting a send, I've been hoping for re-ordering or a two-column display for that stuff for years.

You can (or should be able to anyway) scroll the PC using the mouse wheel as well as move the FX Chain to wherever you want it. Left click and drag on the header is one way of getting it there. Inserting it at the position you want is another. Have one at the top and bottom if you want.

Do you not see that behaviour?

    Hey Karl,
I think he was referring to the "insert module" behavior. It comes up with a list of modules to add that you scroll through by mousing to the bottom or top.

AH okay.... got it. Thanks DOH!!!

That'd be handy but I can't make mine disappear off screen, I've got about 15 modules in it and using the same resolution as the OP.

@Gswitz - Do you have more than 15 modules? Even then I'm guessing there's room for another 3 or 4 on mine before it'd get anywhere near off screen.

    I have this problem too.

I have twenty six modules in the insert menu, if the ProChannel has no PC76 or PC4K bus compressor inserted.  Otherwise it is twenty four.

Agreed. I'm very pleased with the ProChannel and have all the possible modules currently available.

The module I use the most is the FX Chain, which you can get to for insertion by scrolling all the way to the bottom of the list.

Since I use the ProChannel as my effects chain for each track, it's totally reasonable to expect I'll use at least one effect or another in an FX chain module per track. I think the ProChannel module selection menu can be improved, and the FX Chain module should at least optionally be able to be pinned or placed at top of the selection list.

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

I definitely would like to be able to re-order them, but would be happy with being able to scroll with the mouse button.

I, too, love the ProChannel.  I recently got the Softube Mix bundle, and have liked what I have tried so far.  Looking forward to exploring them more when time permits.

I agree with the OP on this one. It can also be in the FX bin too. Both could benefit from mouse wheel control. Yes we are talking about the list FXs not the FX inserted.

Yes, I wasn't clear. I was definitely talking about when you click to insert a new PC Module (the list that appears there).

And it isn't a terrible pain. Just room for improvement.

    I think I count 22 modules.

Same problem here with 22 modules which is not hard to achieve if you have the 8 VKFX
My PC with 24” Monitors is OK, but it's right on the event horizon cusp.
I can't see the full list on my laptop.

    This needs a fix/update

I have empirical evidence this is true... (Bender told me!)
