Scuffham S-Gear Amp sim

Installed this amp sim http://www.scuffhamamps.com/product yesterday.I can get it to run in stand alone mode, plays as expected. It's a VST effect, so I placed it in guitar track in the effects bin in a project. It appeared as expected, launched the GUI, plays fine. But, when I start playback (or record) in the project the sim is muted. No sound, no meter bounce.

I tested the amp sim included with Sonar 8.5.3, it works fine, plays as it should. I've been in touch with the vendor, they don't have 8.5.3, just the X1 products.

So, anyone tried this amp sim in 8.5.3 Producer? Or could someone install it see if they can get it work? I'm generally not an amp sim guy, but this one is pretty cool sounding.

TIA,
DaveT

Dave, I just gave it a shot in S8.3 Studio, and it's working as expected.
Track armed(Record): no sound or meter activity in GUI, but track meter is active.
Playback of recorded track plays fine through S-Gear.
With Input Echo turned on, I have sound and activity in S-Gear regardless of record/playback state.

OK, I just figured it out. I had "enable input monitoring during playback" disabled in the global settings. What's odd about this is the cheapy Sonar Amp Sim worked fine this way.

    Hummm... Well OK.

    Thanks RobertB for the help.
