Searching tutor for Sonar Professional in Long Island/Brooklyn area

I am the type of learner that simply needs someone to walk me thru. I have Sonar Professional and Garritan PO5.
Will pay for lessons. I'm in Oceanside (Nassau County/Long Island) and available in Brooklyn too. Thanks. JoBo70

Hi, and welcome to this forum. I cannot help you with tutoring, but you could watch some videos from Karl Rose (FastBikerBoy, a fellow SONAR user) while you wait for someone available to help you. It is (mostly) from older versions of SONAR, but are applicable to newer versions as well. It is very good

All the best.

Hi Jobo,

I've been using Sonar for 25 years and have taught many students how to use the software.  I teach via Google Hangouts and have taught people in NY.   My credentials are here: www.jerrygerber.com/credits.htm
and my teaching info is here (along with comments from students):  www.jerrygerber.com/teaching.htm

Good luck with Sonar!

I have not tried this, yet, I heard that Sam Ash music store do give lesson on how to use the hardware and software they sell you do not have to had brought from them and there is no fee. My understanding of how it works is you go in sign a sheet on what you like to learn and the lesson would be on what ever was sign up for the most. Also I believe this is only on the weekend.

I would try to PM him instead. Not sure he follows this thread any longer.
Hover your mouse over his name, and Private Message will come up at the bottom.

You might also want to check out Groove3's Sonar Explained tutorial. It's a very comprehesive and well put together set of tutorials. You can also download the projects used in the tutorials so you can follow the instructor as you go along.

I've been a cakewalk/sonar user for over 25 years and this tutorial opened my eyes to loads of areas of functionality I was unaware of.

Not sure why anyone would pay for Sonar lessons anymore. You tube has almost any possible thing you need to know and its "Free".

If you do pay a few more bucks, Karl Roses Videos are detailed.

Windows 8.1 X64 Sonar Platinum x64
Custom built: Asrock z97 1150 - Intel I7 4790k - 16GB corsair DDR3 1600 - PNY SSD 220GB
Focusrite Saffire 18I8 - Mackie Control
