Second Copy of X1 on Small Laptop

This may have been asked before in some version or another, but here's the deal:

-  Fairly powerful rack-mount PC running X1 and connected to V-Studio.  Uses ASIO.  Lots of VIs and plug-ins added over time.
-  Have a small inexpensive laptop running Windows 7 64-bit.  Used for email, facebook, etc. to keep my studio machine off the Internet as much as possible.
-  Thinking about installing X1 there as second machine with just a few essential VIs (like RealGuitar and RealStrat) just to have a portfable machine to capture ideas.  Don't even care, really, about a mic interface at this point.

Thoughts on how to set it up using the default sound card in the laptop?  Any considerations?  Do you think X1 will even run, provided a keep the tracks simple?

Thanks.

I run a second copy of X1d producer on a Dell 1721 32 bit laptop.
Runs fine with Real Guitar/Garritan stuff/Kontake 4 etc.
I use an external Cakewalk/Roland UAG-1 audio interface as I couldn't use the internal cound card without glitches and very high latency.

Check out a utility called ASIO4All, it may make the built-in sound card usable.

Got a copy on my laptop, and bought a Focusrite VRM box for £74 it gives me nice virtual speakers through headphones. much better than my built in sound card. good for listening back to projects. but no inputs.

The only driver that works reliably on my laptop is MME, you may want to try it if everything else fails
