This is better than the original IMHO. Much better! Sorry Madonna.
Her vocal is a little sibilant on some of the sssss's but it might be courtesy of Soundcloud, as the hi-hat sounded a little sssssslippery as well.

I never heard the original. So I have no point of reference other than what you have done here.
everything sounds good but I too noticed the sibilance mentioned by Tom.
Good work on this song from the singing to the recording and mix.... all done well.

Bass is a bit too boomy on my Sennheisers. Not a complaint, just personal taste. Guitar is noice. Keys is good. Vox is excellent.

Why do you always say "the current MrsDaryl"? Makes it sound as though it's a temporary position. If I had a Mrs. who sounded that good I'd do whatever it took to make sure it was a permanent arrangement.
You should really consider covering something from Blackmore's Night. I think you could knock it outa the park. Maybe "Be Mine Tonight" from the Shadow of the Moon album. Give it a listen and see if you don't hear the current Mrs' voice in there.

Hey Bit - It's only an in-joke mate - we have been married 24 years this year so I believe that's pretty permanent! I have to admit, I didn't know the band or song but you're absolutely right - she does sound like her. Maybe we'll have a go at it.... Thanks for the compliments

Finally got to listen to this song/soundcloud (on my phone) and you both did a great job!! Your mixes are really good and clear.....(listening to 'You won't See me').....well done mate!!! I do like some of Madonna's stuff and this was done really well. Another one that the 'current Mrs. Daryl" and you might consider doing is La Isla Bonita.......not for any other reason other than I like the song  ......also a couple of special birthday's are coming up in 2 weeks.  (especially if you have the Brio Percussion from Indigenus......heck, I'll even play the acoustic guitar parts (if needed). Get with the programme mon' and ride the island breeze....

Much prefer this to the Madonna version. For one, the singing is better. The backing track and mix are really good as well. Not my favorite song but listened to the entirely nonetheless;)

One word... TopNotch.
Apart from SoundCloud though... I'm pretty certain it's not your ears, and is my only complaint about SoundCloud, that they insist on at what 128kbps. MP3.com streamed at that rate in 2000, when most of us were on dial-up... So, I agree with Tom, in that any artefacts on the sssss's and what have you is an encoding problem.
Any chance of making this track downloadable, just to test the theory?

I was never a Madonna fan but this tune sounds really nice. Although the second verse vox sounds doubled, the first verse vox is stronger in my ears. Mrs. Daryl has great pipes and is a whole lot easier on the eyes than the material girl. Overall super job on this so lets hear some more .............................Ron
