Selected Tracks - What colour?

When I select a track, the little half inch rectangle at the top left of the track header (which contains the track number) turns black (or very dark grey). I was discussing something relating to this with another user when they mentioned that selected tracks have a yellow rectangular highlight at the top left of the track header.

Neither of us have customized the colours (to our knowledge), so which is the default colour? Yellow or black/dark grey? Have I done something to change mine from the default yellow, or is the default actually dark grey!?

Sorry, a weird question I know, but I'd like to know...

So maybe my colors are correct then? Where did yellow come from though? I see you can change the color in Preferences, but the default is black isn't it? Wasn't the default yellow in 8.5.3 though?

Is there anyone with 8.5.3 installed who can confirm?

    Hi benstat-

It's the same as the track color here (gray) until I click on it, at which point the triangle turns light cyan.

    Hi benstat...

Over the years I changed many colors and I did try to import my 8.5.3 preferences... A few of them worked... Many did not... (we know)...

But I don't think I changed the highlight color... It's the same color on my one client who is using X1 and I know I didn't change any colors there...

Thanks everyone. So it could be completely different from one PC to the next. I guess that's all I need to know.
