Selection time view and splitting by selection

I was wondering if it's possible to see the actual time of a selection I make. Meaning I drag across the time line, or a clip, I can see "1 minute 3 seconds"  somewhere. I've often needed this and end up just calculating by subtracting "Now Times" but it seems something Sonar should be able to do.

On an almost entirely unrelated note, is it possible to split a clip by both selection range endings in one go? Or is manually splitting the beginning and ending the only way? I know I can select a range and then just drag it anywhere but what if I don't want to move it?

I haven't tried in Sonar yet, but I don't see "split at sections" in the links that you provided. In fact I don't see "split at selection" that BristolJonesy suggested either. I'll check next time I've got Sonar open though, thanks for all your suggestions.

Nobody has any idea if I can see the duration of my selection anywhere?

There's already a Feature Request about "Display length of current selection" here:

If you click and drag across the clip for your start & end points, right click the clip and select Split you'll get a dialog box with various options.

Split at Selection is one of them

Cool, thanks, strange that it doesn't show up in the knowledge base article.

I'll also +1 that feature request!
