Selective Automation Delete

In this case, I have both volume and pan automation on two tracks.  i want to cut the pan automation so I can redo it.  Even when I drop down Automation | Pan, deleting Automation still erases the volume automation with the pan.  How do I just pick one to eliminate?

Not sure whether you are using X2 or X1. I'm guessing X1 so that one first.

In the Track view menu deselect "View---->Display-->Display Ghosted data". Then in the relevant track use the edit filter to select the data you want to delete and delete it from the right click menu.

In X2 either use the same method or in the relevant automation lane right click on the envelope to delete it.
