Selwyn Corner
Selwyn Corner (The name doesn't mean anything. I just like the way it sounds.) https://soundcloud.com/orygun/selwyn-cornerI resurrected this piece from Sonar and finished it in Reaper. I'm liking Reaper a lot. I was trying for a string quartet, but that didn't work out. So this is kind of a classical piece with violin, flute and a harp-like instrument. The harp part is ok, but could be better. Thanks for listening. Violin EastWest Gypsy Flute Kontakt Factory Library Harp Zebra

It's a nice composition. Good melodies. I like the different passages in it. I wish the violin wasn't so artificial sounding, but overall it's a good piece.

Shame you can tell it's a sampled violin but that aside it is a really nice simple and elegant tune. Nice job Bjorn.

Leadfoot, Adrian Thanks for the comments. I don't know though, I really like that violin. I didn't get the dynamics down very well and maybe that's part of the problem? It does sound a little different on Soundcloud but not that much. Anyway, this was a shot at doing exploring another genre and was kind of fun.

Bjorn, This is a nice gentle, folksy tune. I think perhaps the problem that the other two mentioned was that the vibrato sounds a little two mechanical? The songs decent regardless. :D:D

That is beautiful. Well balanced and produced. I liked the in and out from minor to major. Really pleasing to the ear.

I like it! Sounds like the background to a Hallmark movie.
