Send midi events to effect plugin that support event input - how to?

Studied helpfiles for some hours and find nothing about how to do that.

It's a XilsLab LX122 leslie which in properties says it supports event input - so far so good.

I can automate manually on audio track - but how to have a controller in midi clip to run this on/off for fast speed rotation as in this case?

That way I can run leslie as I play and record.

The organ is external synth and deliver audio on a audio input channel.
I run midi from external controller through Sonar to external synth.

Thanks.

EDIT: Forgot to mention I did dialog Selected track inputs - and there the midi track was selected omni.
But nothing happends regarding midi to the audio track.

To use a controller to control on/off of your effect, you need to use ACT. There's a good video here:

It's done on Sonar X1 (by forum member FastBikerBoy), but I think it's still the same.

Thanks, I managed something similar as a workaround this afternoon.

    Show assignable controllers
Replace the one that I want in one of the four shown
Select Remote control on that and modulation wheel or something.
That seems to work - and I can probably write automation on that live and have the effect I want.
Whatever I do this modulation wheel works - no echo anywhere, no send midi through.

But I think it's weird why midi is not just sending midi through?
    Something is up regarding this.

The usuall controller behavior is that value 64 or higher makes a on/off to on, and 63 and below is off. So it should not be a problem as I see it. It's just slow/fast rotation speeed on/off.

I have a ticket at support now where I tried similar things like helpfile explains to route output midi port of a synth to another track - does not work either.

This level remote control that consumes midi controllers so efficiently seems to interfer with the ordinary midi - taking over somehow.

You have a separate midi learn thingy in the LX122 that allow you to tell which midi CC# to respond to. If Sonar only would send the midi over.

Something is not working right regarding this - at least not as specified in helpfiles.
