Serious Upgrade
I am currently going through an upgrade......
I am swapping out my audiophile 2496 soundcard and behringer 1204 mixer/interface for::::
A FMR RNP preamp, Lucid AD9624 converter, MOTU 828mk2 interface, and a Presonus Central Station...
the only thing i may keep in my setup is my M- audio monitors and my shure sm57 mic.

analog-->digital-->computer-->digital-->analog
its pretty simple.
the FMR preamp overrides the MOTU's preamps by a huge margin in quality, by the time it goes through the (A/D) converter; which switches it from analog to digital. Once throught the interface and the PC it then Runs through the Central station which converts it back to analog (D/A) just in time to pass through the monitoring system beautifully. the Central station is also very very good in maintaining accurate sonics.
