Session 2 drummer - The Basics ?

OK this extremely newbie stuff I understand, but ya got to start somewhere. Any help appreciated.

I have a 3/4 slower song synced with the metronome. Everytime I drag a pattern into the session 2 drummer midi track I can get it to play, but it doesn't sync up to the tempo of the song, which is what I thought it would do.

Am I missing how to get the pattern to automatically sync with the tempo or is this not possible at all... ?

I'm very confused on this one.....

yer it should sync to tempo .. maybe it's a different time signature your using thats causing the issue? in the sense of the midi is 4 / 4 .. and the tune isn't.

I cannot find any 3/4 time signatures in the S2D pre-sets.... Any ideas?

get 3rd party midi libs that have it , groove monkee gets a mention and there are more..

but the time sig is the issue your having? I don't use patterns really, so wasn't sure what SD2 uses , appart from obvious 4 /4

Are there really no other time sigs inside Session 2 drummer ? ie: 3-4 ? etc...

Even though I have the time signature of the session set to 3-4 all of the SD2 patterns run at 4-4 except for some 6-8's.  And those don't work at all for 3-4 in this case..

Thanks to Scott Garrigus' Sonar Power 8 I can now get them to play but no real answers on alternate time signatures or changed time signatures mid song.
