Session Drummer 3 - Assigning more than 1 note to a pad

Hey peoples.

I'm interested in changing the assignment of notes to, for example, the high-hat pad in SD3.  I know how to do that by right clicking the pad and selecting  the new sample file, and that works a treat.  What happens, however, is that all the notes that are assigned to that pad are then assigned that one sample (so the open, closed, foot etc high hats all sound the same).

Clearly this is sub optimal.  I've tried selecting a different note number with the right mouse button and then assigning a sample, but the same happens.

Anyone got a tip or a hint here?

Many thanks,

daniel

    Hi danbob,

If you want to assign different sounds to the different note #'s associated with a pad, you can create a SFZ file to map the samples.  If you open a SFZ file in notepad you can get a good idea on how it's done.

Not familiar with SD3. Does it support drum mapping?
