Session Drummer 3 confusion

Hello
Iam new to posting in this Forum, I seem to have a little confusion with session Drummer 3.

I have been using session Drummer in Sonar 8.5 with An Akai MPD18 pad controller
whenever I load the the sample sounds -      ie..  note - 37 sidestick
                                                                      note - 38 snare
                                                                      note - 39 handclap
if I change the Snare it changes all of following samples on my controller. ill lose the sidestick or other sounds that are relaterd to the snare in the synth rack. does anyone know
what I maybe doing wrong. I've tried the help files and youtube but nothing has covered this problem.

Thanks

If you are dropping samples on the pads in Session Drummer, only the one sample will play overwriting any previous instrument definitions. In order to have all the notes related to a Session Drummer pad play, the Session Drummer pad must be loaded with an sfz file. There are quite a few examples of what the instrument sfz files look like in the Session Drummer Content.
