Session Drummer 3 problem

I posted this question a couple weeks ago and got no replies. So I thought I would try again.  When I first load up my session drumer 3, I can click on a drum image (as you know) and hear the sounds of the drum kit. As soon as I hit play once, there is no more sound when I click on the drum set image. but yet the sounds play from the midi track itself. The only way to get the drum set image is to click the engine reset buton for 30 sec to 1 min, or delete session drummer and reload it,, or exit sonar and come back in... but as soon as I hit the space bar just once to play, the sound from the drum set image is gone... this makes it hard to tune and balance the drums... but again, it continues to play from the track itself,, just not able to get sound from the drumset image.  HELP

Do you use a keyboard?  If so, just play the kit that way so you can tune and balance the way you want.

when this happens trying hitting play on your transport control and then stopping..for some odd reason hitting play button resets the engine on mine. that or opening up the preference menu then closing it by clicking okay..not close.

Im really not quite grasping your explanation.
I assume from your explanation that you have the SD3 brought up and are looking at a drum kit?
At the lower bottom -PROG- you have laoded a kit in it?
    Then you press which PLAY
On the midi track in Track View, where is the transport when the sound stops, is it past the midi notes?

Im not a midi type and just curious

    Thanks

I have similar problem as Skarda, if I understand correctly.  When I play the Session Drummer 3 drums by clicking on the drum pictures, it works for awhile, but then the sound will stop.  However, if I have a midi sequence recorded in a track, Session Drummer will play the track back just fine.  As Skarda said, if I want to continue playing the drums by clicking the images, I have to close Sonar and restart.

Doug, do you have a MIDI keyboard hooked up?  I'm curious if you can play the various parts of the kit with that when the icons no longer respond in the drum GUI?
