Session Drummer 3 query

Hi

I preview a pattern by pressing play in the SD3 GUI. Then I drag the pattern to the track. How come what I hear in the preview and what is then dragged to the track are different sometimes? For example, the previewed sound may be just a straight 4:4, but when dragged to the track, there is the same 4:4 with a fill at the end of the clip?

I have the preview set to play just once through, and I am careful to press stop in the SD3 GUI before hitting play in the track.

Thanks

Bill

    Hi Bill,

You may be changing the number of beats in the SD3 interface. Just to the right of the button that you use to drag the pattern from SD3, you'll see a number representing the number of beats in the current pattern. If you change that (by dragging up/down on it), playback will be different in the SD3 interface.

    Hi Scott
Shouldn't the number of beats on the SD3 interface equal the length of the pattern so that when you audition it, you hear the whole pattern? The one I was querying had the number of beats equal to 4, but the actual length of the pattern was more than that, hence why I didn't hear it all until it was in the track. I didn't think I had dragged the beats up or down.

    Hi Bill,

It should, but maybe you found a bug. Not sure.

But that's the reason they sounded different.
