Session Drummer 3 to audio

I have selected a program, pattern, etc in Session Drummer 3.

I have hit the "play" button, so when I start / stop Sonar Producer
the Session Drummer plays his pattern along with the song.

How to I get this "performance" bounced to an MIDI or audio track(s),..??

Many thanks,...

There are at least two easy ways to do that. One would be to use the Media Browser view to browse to where the actual loops are in the Session Drummer folder. Another way is to drag and drop them right from the Session Drummer. I have SD2 but I think it's works the same way. When you click a Letter to play a pattern, it shows in the box labeled MIDI. There's a little 1/8th note with a plus + sign to the right of the loop name. Click and drag that onto a Midi track.

To bounce the Midi to an audio track select both the Midi track and the Audio track being used by the soft synth and select Edit>Bounce to Track(s).

There's a SD3 masterclass series of videos up on the Cakewalk youtube channel :

The link above is part 2 out of 8.

Go to around 2min 30secs to see what Chappel mentioned working in SD3.

If you haven't used SD3 much then it's worth watching the series of vids if you have some spare time.

Be aware there is an issue with Session Drummer whereby the pattern you get by dragging from the SD interface may insert a different variation of the pattern in the track than what is playing in the selected cell. There's some kind of file-referencing problem. I spent an hour figuring out why the dragged pattern in the track wouldn't play the same as the pattern loaded in SD3.

So it's safer to use the Media Browser to get the pattern by name. You can also get to the pattern file by clicking on the pattern name in SD3, which will open the Load Pattern dialog with a conventional Windows Explorer view where you can seach on part of the pattern name, drag it from there into the track, and then just cancel out of the Load Pattern dialog.

Thanks brundleFly, I was also having that "issue" as well.

    I am also wondering,...

In SD3, each instument has the possibility of being placed on any of 12 outputs, but when you create the complete midi/audio folder, it has SD3 spread across 24 output,...

What is the 'mapping / logic' behind all that,..?? I have created with mono, and
with stereo, and it seems to do the same thing no matter which on I choose,...

    Inquiring minds,...
