Session Drummer out of sync?

I have a General Midi sequence that I have added my own Bass, Guitar and Vocal tracks to and it sounds pretty good ... I was trying to use session drummer to get a better drum sound. I loaded a kit into session drummer, no patterns just the kit, and chose session drummer on the Midi drum channel.... but when I play it, it seems to be out of sync -- starting to early .. If I mute all the other tracks it sounds great, all the drums seem to be playing the propers sounds ...... what am I doing wrong?

Make sure you're recording audio at a sample rate of 44100 unless you have a SoundBlaster soundcard which requires a sample rate of 48000. Options-Audio-General.

So if you didn't load any pattern in Session Drummer, what is Session Drummer playing? Does the MIDI track contain any MIDI info?

Dave, I am recording at 44100/16bit ..
boten, The midi drum track, number 10, has data in it and when I choose Microsoft GS wavetable as the sound source it plays fine. I was trying to use session drummer and the sound source. When i do that it seems to start earlier, and is out of sync.

I guess I could just move my recorded track to make it al sync up, but I am curious as to why it is out of sync?

Does anyone else use Session Drummer fro their drum sounds with an existing midi track?

Try using a soft synth to play the MIDI track instead of the Wavetable.

Don't know if this is your case, but I had the same problem when I put Session Drummer on certain MIDI tracks.

I had added Session Drummer first - then ran the track to preview. It was out of sync. After reading some very complicated solutions, I went back and just added soft synths to ALL the tracks - voila!

In my case, at least, Session Drummer was out of sync with Microsoft Wavetable - but not a full array of soft synths.

The best solution is avoid the MS GS Wavetable Synth completely. Disable it as an output device and use TTS-1 instead.

Just as true today as it was in 2007.
