Session Drummer (pattern variation)

hello folks,
newbie here - please be gentle.
I've been looking at using the session drummer or even studio instruments drumkit to put some patterns into a project. During the auditioning stage, one of the things that makes the patterns sound quite dynamic is moving the toms/hi-hats/cymbals, etc up and down using the semitone increase/decrease.

Is it possible to record the drum track whilst  messing about with the tunings as you would 'record' an envelope? - rather than dropping the patterns in and adjusting them quite laboriously afterwards in PRV.

thanks - MarkB

Playing Session Drummer and SI-Drums pads interactively are for audition purposes only.  I suppose one could loop the output of the audio track back through the audio interface and record it or use a VST recorder like HGS Wav recorder and import the result into the project.

It is possible to record envelopes for tuning or other controls on the synths. The drums patterns can also be recorded by playing with the octave below MIDI note 35 (B2), the mapping is in the help for Session Drummer in the section "Using MIDI Patterns."
