Session Drummer - record pattern touches?

I know you can easily drag the midi into a track and edit there.  But for quick tasks, is it possible to record my mouse clicks on the pattern letters and have it play back?  If not, would it be hard to set up this control automation?

There are many (brighter) minds that hang out in the forums, and they may know something I don't, but I am not aware of a way to do what you are asking. The only solution I see is to actually create the MIDI pattern you want, save it where you can easily find it, then use the "Load MIDI Pattern" command to load that pattern into one of the A-H buttons in Session Drummer. There may be certain limitations to doing that, however, such as pattern length. And - to me - that seems like at least as much trouble as just dragging a pre-created pattern into the project and editing it there. But, of course, it is all a matter of personal preference.

Ok so I just found that at the bottom end of the keyboard there are notes to control the patterns!  So if I like the main pattern, I can just play the midi note to trigger that specific pattern letter.  Then if there are parts that I want to modify I can release that midi note and drag in the pattern to the track to edit in piano roll.

For a while, I would just load all the patterns I liked into a track and have numerous layers.  Then just cut away.  But this makes it so much easier!  Hope this helps someone else.
